D'ANZA FREELAND - MAT PILATES, SPIN

D’Anza Freeland is no stranger to the fitness world. She has over 20+ years of experience in

both teaching, sharing and instructing others on how to get fit, live fit and be fit. As a former

competitive endurance athlete she knows what it takes to create a consistent and safe program to help those around her achieve their goals. She has worked with some of the best mentors in their sports and is always willing to share. She currently teaches Barre, Spin and Pilates in and around Bend and is excited to be a part of the BOXiT Fit team.

AMBER RICH - BoXIT FIT, PERSONAL TRAINER

IAmber Rich was a preschool associate and teacher for 5 years where she developed her love for teaching. Her love for fitness came in 2014 when she found a new confidence and strength in herself. The two passions combined back in 2017 when she started training young women one on one in her free time. In the start of 2018, she made fitness training her full time career when she accepted a job at Title Boxing, in Nashville, as a boxing instructor and took on more clients for personal training. Amber moved to Bend this past May. Her goal and purpose here and at BoXiT is to share the confidence and strength she found in boxing with others and help them find theirs too!

Amber's favorite quote is “Though she be But little she is fierce” and that is exactly the vibe she wants to share!

MARY BETH SCANLON - SLOW FLOW YOGA

Mary Beth is originally from Detroit, Michigan, She moved out to Bend with her husband and two children in the Summer of 2017.  Mary Beth discovered yoga over a decade ago, after having her son.  She went into her first Vinyasa class looking for a great workout, and walked out feeling, not only sweaty and strong, but also inspired and less stressed.  She went on to earn her RYT 200 certification in Malibu, CA with the Yoga Shelter in 2011. Mary Beth taught Vinyasa and Slow Flow for over five years in Detroit.  She believes that true yoga takes place when we, not only align ourselves physically in the asana (poses), but ultimately, when the heart and mind align as well.  Mary Beth is grateful to be able to share her passion for Yoga; which has changed her body, mind and soul.  She is honored to be a part of the Bend Yoga community and excited to bring her unique yoga teaching style to the BoXiT Fitness members!  FEEL YOUR POWER!

SHAWN ANZALDO - POWER VINYASA YOGA

Shawn took her first yoga class in her home town of Eugene at the University of Oregon.  She continued to find yoga off and on for the next fifteen years until finally landing at a studio where she cultivated her love of yoga.  She became a certified yoga teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance, in 2013.  Shawn’s 200-hour training was with Tiffany Cruikshank of Yoga for Medicine which culminated in a week-long training session in Aruba. In May of 2019, she will graduate from a 300-hour training with Jason Crandell of San Francisco. 

Shawn and her husband Joe have lived in Bend for over twenty-two years.  They have two boys who are grown and on their own. They have two dogs who are learning to paddle board but are completely unruly.  When not teaching or practicing yoga, Shawn spends her time riding her electric bike around town, hiking the beautiful trails of Central Oregon or spending time with friends and family. 

SHELBY LOVE - SPIN

Shelby Love is a new instructor with a passion for spinning and a love for the outdoors. She grew up in northern New Hampshire and moved out to Bend five years ago chasing the mountains and to pursue a career after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science. Shelby is BLS provider CPR certified and is currently managing a local family practice in Bend. Most recently she has been teaching at JoyCycle where she can share her love for fitness through her motivating spin classes. She always finds time to enjoy wonderful Central Oregon through running, biking, hiking, skiing and anything that keeps her active in her healthy lifestyle.”

MEGAN SUSNJARA - PERSONAL TRAINER, SPIN/BOX and BOXIT FIT

Megan studied Human Physiology for three years at the University of Oregon and received her degree in Business Administration: Marketing at Portland State University.  Megan received her personal training certificate this spring. She currently teaches Spin/Box on Thursdays and has taken great pride providing awesome workouts with great music! Her passions are fitness, health, brand marketing for a company she believes in, and having fun and enjoying the Bend outdoor lifestyle with her boyfriend, Scott, and their dog Lily. 

 

LEIGH (BIRD) GRACIANO - PILATES

Leigh’s love for fitness began at the age of nine when she received her first Barbie workout set. She has a picture to prove it. Several Barbie workout reps later she received her degree in Psychology and started a career in the educational field. There she worked with developmentally delayed children at an occupational and physical therapy clinic. After several years of homeschooling two boys and a desperate need for adult interaction, she decided to blend her love for fitness and teaching and become a certified personal trainer. Soon after she found herself in a gym setting, doing one-on-one training and later began teaching various forms of personal fitness. She currently teaches Pilates, Barre, and strength and conditioning at various locations in Bend. When she’s not teaching or home schooling you can find her outside with her husband and two boys taking advantage of everything Bend has to offer.
